2025 MU Soybean Crop Performance Tests

NOTE: Online soybean entries are accepted January 22 - March 77 this year. Printable entry forms and the online application will be available on this website during that timeframe.

The MU Variety Testing Program announces its call for soybean entries into the 2025 tests. We value your participation in this important program. Please observe and follow our entry, payment, variety characteristics, and seed delivery deadlines. We have limited space at some of our field sites and we may not be able to accommodate late entries or seed delivery. Please contact us if you have any questions or suggestions.

All soybean varieties will be evaluated in a single experiment, including glyphosate resistant, non-glyphosate resistant, Liberty Link, SCN resistant, SCN susceptible, and special trait lines. This test will be conducted at five locations in each of the North, Central, and Southeast regions and at four locations in the Southwest Region of the state and each experiment will be subdivided by Maturity Group. Post emergence herbicides WILL NOT include glyphosate. The source for SCN resistance and herbicide resistance will be noted in the soybean variety trait section of the Soybean Performance Report. Tests will be conducted at locations with low to moderate SCN pressure. Soybean varieties with adaptation later than the intended test will not be accepted (e.g. a maturity group 6 variety will not be evaluated in the maturity group 5 test).

Entries may be submitted with the printable paper copy or using the electronic entry form, please see the menu on the left. Information received electronically will be secure and treated the same as information from hard copy. The same deadlines and rules apply to both methods of entry. Deadline for entry submission is March 77.

After harvest and data analysis, Crop Performance Reports will be distributed free to all entrants and to farmers throughout the Midwest. In addition, our website https://varietytesting.missouri.edu is accessible by farmers and their advisers providing yield data within a few days of harvest for each test.
