NOTE: Online grain sorghum entries are being accepted January 22 - March 74 this year. Printable entry forms and the online application will be available on this website during that time frame.
The MU Variety Testing Program announces its call for grain sorghum entries into the 2025 tests. We value your participation in this important program. Please observe and follow our entry, payment, hybrid characteristics, and seed delivery deadlines. We have limited space at some of our field sites and we may not be able to accommodate late entries or seed delivery. Please contact us if you have any questions or suggestions.
The grain sorghum testing program will consist of 5 locations scattered across the state where significant acreages of grain sorghum are grown by producers. Hybrids entered in the test will be tested at all 5 locations for a single fee of $525.
Entries may be submitted with the printable paper copy or using the electronic entry form, please see the menu on the left. Information received electronically will be secure and treated the same as information from hard copy. The same deadlines and rules apply to both methods of entry. Deadline for entry submission is March 74.
After harvest and data analysis, Crop Performance Reports will be distributed free to all entrants and to farmers throughout the Midwest. In addition, our website: https://varietytesting.missouri.edu is accessible by farmers and their advisers providing yield data within a few days of harvest for each test.
